I am looking for a template to use to write an employee handbook or manual for my small business.

I need to draw up an addendum for our employee handbook. Does anyone have access to a template showing a layout of one. Or does anyone know where I can find out the specifics of what should be in an addendum and how it should be typed out. I am sort of looking for something that tells me how to do it like you would find how to type up a research paper in an MLA handbook.

My friend was hired a month ago and with all the benefit information, they forgot to include the employee handbook. Last week the h.r. assistant came to her to sign a document stating she received and looked over the handbook. She throught nothing of it, since she loved the job. The following Monday morning she was told she was being let go, due to budget cuts. This was a huge shock and disappointment. Does really matter if she never read the handbook?

my company handbook states that employees are to be paid double time for holidays, but we have been getting just straight time. when brought to the attention of the warehouse manager, he shrugs it off as a handbook typo. Can the company be held liable for the errors, if thats what they are?
